Lagrotteria’s vision allows him to set up teammates effectively, while his strength makes him tough to move off the puck. After eight seasons with the Niagara North Stars, including three OMHA weekends and a finals appearance, Sam has proven himself as a consistent offensive presence who can deliver in big moments.

Off the ice, Sam brings the same drive to his academics and personal growth. He maintains mid-90s averages and has been recognized as a public speaking award winner and a valedictorian. Beyond hockey, he played competitive soccer for seven years, enjoys golf, and takes pride in training year-round. Sam also gives back through school charity events and by volunteering as a shooter for goalie training.

Sam’s strength and athleticism set him apart — posting a 375-pound trap bar deadlift and a 305-pound squat for reps. He continues to challenge himself against top competition, attending the OHF/OHL Development Camp in 2025. A competitor who loves to win, he pairs natural scoring ability with a relentless work ethic, making him a forward built to impact every game he plays.
