Rousseau has also taken part in a Junior B St. Catharines Falcons camp and was selected for the OHF U15 Camp of Excellence, competing alongside top players from across the league. Now in his U16 season with the Niagara North Stars, Ethan looks to build on that foundation of leadership and success at the AAA level.
Off the ice, Ethan applies the same drive to his academics and personal growth. With marks in the 90s, he has a strong interest in science and is planning to study sports physiotherapy. Beyond school and hockey, he has given back by volunteering as a “big brother” with a U9 lacrosse team — helping younger athletes develop skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. He stays active with basketball, lacrosse, golf, fishing, and training at the gym.
Ethan’s commitment to training shows in the results. He’s posted standout numbers in the gym, with a 365-pound trap bar deadlift, a 315-pound squat, and a 150-pound bench press, backed by a 2.5m broad jump. Those numbers reflect the same drive he brings on the ice — strength, endurance, and consistency under pressure. That dedication has earned him recognition, including the Pelham Raiders Award for leadership and sportsmanship, multiple overtime game-winning goals, and Male Athlete of the Year at his grade 8 graduation.
